Sound effect credits, explained
A credit pays for one processed second. Each task is rounded up to a whole second, with a minimum of one credit. For example, 10.2 seconds uses 11 credits; three separate 7.2-second generations use 24 credits.

These are duration examples, not fixed prices for sound categories. Creating a new variation starts a new generation. For video, the service can shorten the processing duration to match a shorter source clip.

How much does SFX Reel cost?
SFX Reel offers three one-time credit packs: Starter at $9.9 for 99 credits, Plus at $29.9 for 299 credits, Professional at $99.9 for 999 credits. All prices are in USD. Choose a pack based on how much audio or video you plan to generate.
How many credits does sound effect generation use?
Generation costs 1 credit per processed second. Each task is rounded up to a whole second, with a minimum of 1 credit. A 10-second task uses 10 credits; a 10.2-second task uses 11 credits. Each new generation is a separate task.
Do I need a monthly subscription?
No. The Starter, Plus and Professional packs on this page are one-time purchases. Buying a pack does not start a recurring subscription.
Do Text to SFX and Video to SFX use the same credits?
Yes. The same credit balance covers text-to-audio, video-to-audio and video-with-sound generation. All three use the same rate of 1 credit per processed second.
What if my video is shorter than the duration I select?
When the service can read your video duration, processing is clipped to the actual video length. The resulting duration is rounded up for billing. The creator shows an estimate before submission; the backend determines the final charge.
Which audio formats and durations are available?
Audio-only results support WAV, MP3, AAC and FLAC. Text-to-audio accepts 0.1–600 seconds; video processing accepts 1–600 seconds. You can also choose a video with generated sound. The website accepts local MP4 and WebM uploads.
How do I buy credits?
Sign in to SFX Reel, choose a credit pack and continue to Stripe checkout. Use the same SFX Reel account when you return to create sounds. The payment options available to you are shown at checkout.
Does checking a task again start another paid generation?
No. Check status again queries the existing task. It does not submit a new generation. If a status check is interrupted, use that action to retrieve your result instead of submitting the prompt again.
